Make time to excercise for at least 10 minutes every morning, doing at least 10 minutes every morning equals a little over three 20-minute workouts a week!

Have a closet full of clothes, and you don't wear half of them? Take out everything that you didn't wear last year, or in the past few years for that matter, and give them away. Local charities and churches are always willing to take clothing and other things off your hands. If you like something, but don't ever wear it, just let it go because you probably never will. When you replace thoe old clothing, only buy pieces that you can pair with a lot of outfits, get your money's worth!

If you have a hard time sticking to tasks, try starting the project early in the morning, just devoting a half hour before your day crowds up can free-up needed evening time to wind down.

Change up your daily breakfast routine, instead of OJ keep various other juices (fruit and vegetable, not artificial juices) around the house. You will have a wider variety of vitamins and antioxidants that ward off illness.

Try mixing up your fitness routine, try something that you haven't tried before. Above all, working out outside is the best for your body and mind as natural light halps you produce seretonin and vitamin D, both crucial to fighting depression and anxiety. For winter months, try indoor fitness activities such as yoga, water aerobics, or group fitness. If you still want to be outside in the cold, get a waterproof and well- insulated fitness outfit!

Make your own natural and invigoration air freshener, mix a few drop s of an essential oil like peppermint or thyme in with 1 oz of water in a spray bottle. Mist the liquid onto rugs, furniture, etc. for a nice refreshing scent.

Your feet play a crutial role in your physical movement, so why not take care of them? Buying supportive shoes or inserts and performing foot excercises can strengthen your feet which means better stability, mobility, and posture!

Keep your knives sharp, yes it sounds simple, but when your knives are sharp, its easier and more fun to cut vegetables and fruit, which means your will eat more of them!

When cooking meals, instead of using meat as a main course, use it as a side dish or condiment to whole grains and vegetables. Its healthier, cheaper, and easier to cook!

Create compost for your spring garden and cut back on the garbage by saving your mulched leaves and sticks all winter in a pile. Throughout winter add your coffee grounds and vegetable scraps to the pile, mix it occasionally to keep it even. Come spring time, you will have wonderful fertalizer for your garden for FREE!

Save energy by lowering your thermostate to the lowest you can tolerate, this means wearing slippers and long PJ's instead of shorts and a T-shirt this winter.

Many old toilets use as much as 4 gallons of water everytime you flush, instead of wasting all that fill a half gallon container with water and place it in the upper tank of your toilet, that is a half gallon that won't be flushed away everytime you go to the bathroom! (yes, this does work)

Help your body burn more calories while its resting  by increasing your muscle mass, simply doing bicep curls while watching TV or inbetween cooking is a great way to build a little muscle.

Take advantage of a rainy day by collecting the rainwater from your gutter run-off in a tub or barrel. Use this water to water your garden or lawn to save water.

If you have weeds in your garden, avoid herbicides and reach for your tea kettle instead. Pour boiling water on the leaves of the unwanted plants, and it shuts down the photosynthesis, thus killing the plant. Be extrememly careful that you don't burn yourself or splash the boiling water on plants that you DO want!

Since most of us deal with computers at one point or another during the daily courses, its important to be comfortable. Keep your monitor at eye level or below, sit straight with a supportive chair, keep your keyboard slightly angled so that the back is higher, and don't sit in obscure positions.

If you truly want to live a healthier life, it requires a little more work. Our society has commercialized a lot of products and functions. So look beyond the eye-catching labels and ads, find the natural and organic alternatives. Cut your energy costs by unplugging appliances not in use, use energy efficient light bulbs, turn down that heat, and refrain from keeping your house 60 degrees all summer. Also eat smart, use whole grains, proteins, and healthy fats when cooking, they keep you fuller longer. Excercise regularly, even if it is only 10 minutes a day, and always unwind before bed so you feel refreshed the next day!

Research ways that you can save water, and most importantly recycle what you would normally throw away!
